Spirit of ANZAC

Anzac Day is one of Australia's most important national commemorative occasions. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. Our increasing affection for the fallen; the gallant, brave and courageous men and woman of the Services, is perhaps best captured by the following excerpt from the poem, 'For the Fallen', by the English poet and writer Laurence Binyon. "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them." Lest We Forget.
